Eric out did himself...
This past September, I was able to take my son Jacob on his first archery elk hunt. When the time came to plan the hunt, I didn't hesitate to call Eric with Greater Yellowstone Outfitters. I have hunted and fished with Eric in the past and know firsthand that his attention to detail is second to none. From making sure you have all our licenses needed, to what gear to bring, and where to stay, he genuinely cares about your total experience.
Eric out did himself on this hunt! The location was beautiful and the elk were plentiful. We were seeing multiple elk every day. With Eric guiding us himself, my son was able to take his fist bull elk only a few hours into our first day of hunting! An awesome 5x6 bull that we stalked within 60 yards of. An awesome moment for father and son! On the morning of day 4 of our hunt I was able to arrow a beautiful 6x6 bull elk that Eric was able to call right to me.
Best part was having my son with me, and filming right over my shoulder capturing the moment. It was an incredible father and son hunt that I can't wait to do again. And Eric with be the first person I call to start planning!

It’s been a lifelong goal...
It is nearly impossible to put into words my experience elk hunting last October in Montana. It’s been a lifelong goal and dream of mine to harvest a Bull, and thanks to Eric booking my hunt with Bucks and Ducks I got an elk!
Another aspect that made it extremely special for me is that I got to go with my 72 year old dad. It was quite the adventure, and we earned my bull. We hiked over 20 miles that week in the snow, which made the experience even better for me. The guides did everything in their power to make sure that I got to see and shoot an elk. It wasn’t a hunt that anyone could ever say I didn’t earn. Thank you Eric and thank you bucks and ducks for making my dream come true.
